Tangible Solutions (TS) an Additive Manufacturing company are scaling up their operations with space, equipment, and jobs in the City of Fairborn. The manufacturer will be relocating to a 25,000 square foot building in Fairborn and will invest in new machinery and personnel for the move which should be completed in January 2017. An 11-person company now, TS expects to increase their workforce number to grow to 67 people over the next three years.
Assisted by the City of Fairborn with a $500,000 incentive loan, TS will be able to move forward with its plans for full production. The new facility will allow TS to expand its capacity with the purchase of five Mlab cusing machines and one M2 cusing machine. This new machinery will make TS one of the largest users of Concept Laser machines in the country and will greatly increase their capacity to offer metal printing to their 3D printing services.
Founded in 2013 TS has provided a variety of 3D printing services including 3D scanning and engineering and design services. Customer demand has led TS to expand its capacity in the metal 3D printing arena and the technology can be integral in aerospace and medical technology uses, especially in the medical implant market. The new facility and equipment will allow TS to print 528 implants every 22 hours and these implants can be customizable.
The leadership team at TS including Adam Clark, Chris Collins and Charlie Fox are focused on marketing 3D printing as a flexible alternative to traditional manufacturing. They are also focused on developing 3D printing education and will offer certification courses with the goal of providing a highly skilled workforce in the additive manufacturing field.
The City of Fairborn is thrilled to partner with the TS team and looks forward to working with them as they continue to grow their company.
